2010 Course Guide

You Can “Fast Track” Your Qualification:

Credit Transfers

Participants who have previously, successfully completed units through Registered Training Organizations will be eligible for Credit Transfers into programs conducted by the Swan Hill & Mildura Hair and Beauty College.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Participants who have developed skills and knowledge through experience, on the job, relevant to the course will be eligible to apply for the fast tracking process, “recognition of prior learning”, (RPL). This process involves the matching of your skills against unit content. The first stage will require you to review the unit content and match it against your skills. This initial process would need to reveal a match of around 80% to warrant progress to the next stage. Basically you will need to prove that you are competent as benchmarked against the Performance Criteria as set out in the units.

Self Paced Learning

Participants who demonstrate exceptional skill level will be able to accelerate through the course by demonstrating competence against the Performance Criteria.

These fast tracking options can significantly reduce your investment of time in the course, while at the same time recognising the skills that you already have.
